      I think my S9P is mad at me because it senses it is most likely about to be replaced very soon. So now it tries to annoy me by stop loading the aerobic decoupling app at random times.

      I can select the app for a couple of runs but suddenly it stops loading it. When I try to select it before a run, I can find it in the list of apps in the watch, but when I select it the watch shows “none” under Suunto apps. I can select other apps like burner, climb etc correctly.

      When I reboot the watch I can select aerobic decoupling again. Until now I haven’t found a way to reproduce the issue. It seems somewhat random.

        did you try to remove it in SA, re-add it and activate it then?

          @freeheeler yes, forgot to mention.

          • I uninstalled the app and synced -> app is no longer in the list on the watch
          • Installed the app again and synced -> app is available in the list on the watch
          • Select the app -> results in “none”
          • Reboot the watch and select it from the list in the watch -> Victory! (for as long as it lasts)

            I assumed you already pulled all the trick-triggers…
            decoupling wasn’t working well for me either and I didn’t try again at some point. but I will try again and see how it works, assuming it is watch independent

                    A couple of tricks that work for me when a Sports App is finicky during selection:

                    1. if the app won’t load the first time, simply try again. Sometimes three attempts is lucky.

                    2. if the above doesn’t work, load another app and confirm that it appears as the Sports App for that training, then try selecting Aerobic decoupling again.

                    3. if it still won’t successfully load, turn off GPS and try loading again. This almost always works for me.

                    As a comment, sometimes a touchscreen press or “swipe” is interpreted as a back action on the Sports App selection list, so explicitly selecting the highlighted app using the middle watch button is helpful.

                    Lastly, I’ve noticed that there is a little UI pause before the app successfully loads, so there is a hint that success is imminent.
