Core Bodytemperatur Sensor dont Work with Vertical
-
When you turn on active look s+ app, core one doesn’t work. Decimal point needs to go one character to the right. When I get 0.1C degrees increase it shows 0.01C instead of 0.1C.
Edit: this is fine, it’s actually a derivative of your core temp so you know if it’s increasing or decreasing. Also, please use single temperature scale so delta value can be visualized.
Excess decimals in SA:

Internally the CoreBodyTemp is recorded in ° Kelvin. Is it planned to switch it to ° Celsius? When I import the FIT file into WKO I have to convert it into ° Celsius if FIT file is from a Suunto watch and to keep it as it is when it comes from a Garmin watch
-
@trailcafe that’s interesting, I can ask.
Edit: do you have two FIT files, one from Suunto and one from Garmin, to show the difference?
-
@isazi sure yes. I can send it to you but I am already in contact with some guys from CoreBodyTemp because I am testing their sensor. Maybe we should open up only one channel (via CoreBodyTemp) and not another one with the same topic, what do you think?
-
@trailcafe if they also work on the S+ app then fine. If it is about the FIT export from SA, better to involve Suunto (as they do the conversion to FIT).
-
@isazi it’s about the S+ app up to now. Let’s wait and see, if they can find something here…
-
@trailcafe I see the issue. I asked to be solved
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos @trailcafe and others: is it working now for you? also testing the core sensor with my vertical… seems still problematic?
-
@Thomas-Hertz It is working. Shows °C on the watch. But exporting FIT file and using it in WKO shows °K so have to subtract 273.15 to get the °C value within the formula.

yes that’s also the problem I have. makes it difficult to e.g. use it with other platforms like e.g. runalzye.com. feels a bit half-baked, but not sure whom to blame for it.
-
@Thomas-Hertz it is addressed to Suunto devs and I also talked to my contact person at Core. So all are aware of that “issue” - let’s wait until we see a change

thanks @trailcafe !
