Suunto 9 Baro crashes / restarts at the beginning of a training
-
My watch restarted again, during todays run.
I was using guide - imported structured workout from TrainingPeaks. Watch restarted 6 minutes after start.
I synced watch with SA right after restart and sent logs immediatetaly. @isazi , would you be so kind and add my logs to the ticket, please? I believe that there is one already.
My SA login - zadow@seznam.czThanks!
-
@zadow I will.
-
I had a crash again on morning jog. I’ve sent a PM with details.
-
Hi all, another restart today. In cycling activity, after 57 minutes, watch restarted. Mounted on bike holder connected to Suunto HR belt and powermeter InPeak. No guides, no apps this time. Logs sent to Suunto via SA. @isazi could I kindly ask you to add the logs to the ticket? (Zadow@seznam.cz)
Hope it helps. -

Oh geez, another morning jog and another crash some 200 meters into it. No apps activated. How great. I’ve sent logs.

@André-Faria Has anyone done this and confirmed that this is a solution?
Not sure. If I had that watch and those problems I would hard reset it at least. And if doesn’t work roll back. But that is only my opinion and view on troubleshooting

Three weeks to date and it happened again. Same kind of run, noticed it before 100 meters were run.

Random crash is Suunto’s cancer, there is no way to really cure it

Don’t worry, I’ll keep reporting these until it gets fixed.
-
I wasn’t having a bad enough start of a day so Suunto decided to shit bed once again. Gah.
-
@jussim Lol than prepare to do a lot of reporting…
-
@jussim I am reporting them for you.
-
@isazi So, it still makes sense to report and send the logs? If so, root cause is still not known…?
btw, thanks for handling it for us! -
@zadow honestly, I do not know. If something very different happens it is good to report it, if it is the same as before probably not useful. I do not know how much of Suunto resources are spent in the development for older watches.
-
@isazi understood and thank you. I stopped posting logs some time ago.
Today I posted them again because I think it might help. I was lucky to sync my watch before activity, then during the activity watch restarted an I synced again. I do not know whether the second sync haven’t overwrote first one. But just for the case it might be useful, I posted it.
My login is still the same. You’ll find it in the PM.Thanks!

Another morning jog, another crash.

Yet another crash. What is it about mornings? This time I did get almost 2 km into it, though! Truly exceptional.
-
@jussim Well, clearly is your S9B, all my runs are in the mornings and I never had a crash, I have had other issues but never a crash.
-
@cosme-costa At least these have always happened with the “lesser” morning jogs only. I’d be doubly pissed, if the actual workouts end up being sabotaged by S9B!
