Steps an Calories count bug?
-
I don’t know how to replicate this
But today in the watch widget the steps count and calories are the sum of today and yesterday’s values:
In the home of the app scrolling right todays values are ok,
instead in calendar tab the values for today are the sum with yesterday’s values, the same on the widget on the watch ( steps nd calories count ).
I can say that the values passed to health app are ok as you can see in the image below.
Watch and iOS app versions are the latest ( just bought snd updated)https://i.postimg.cc/fRQtzRGw/IMG-1143.jpg

Anyone else saw this? Is it a known bug?
Thanks -
@brusa69 Images doesn’t work. One day on Vertical i had at 7 AM. 900 steps (at midnight it reset) and i slept before midnight.
-
@Tami999 hope the images show up now,
i think you are right, i saw on the users guide that these statistics reset at midnight.
I had my Suunto Vertical OFF that night, and in the morning i started with previous day steps and calories.
Think it’s a BUG, they should reset when the Vertical power on the next day… -
@brusa69 is the problem only in the app or the watch also? If only app, try to logout and login again, it may fix the issue.
-
@isazi the problem was noticed in the watch
I noticed the wrong steps in the top right screen counter of the watch face then also in the widget of steps and calories. Then also in the app as shown.
Today at midnight the steps a calories have been reset so I guess the watch must be on at midnight for the reset to happen.i think It should reset also at power up the next ( or after n days ) if powered off… -
@brusa69 I’ll test this and report to Suunto. So watch off at midnight does not perform the daily reset?
-
@isazi yes that’s what happened. I’ll try also overnight ( power off vertical before midnight) and see what happens tomorrow.
-
@brusa69 if you do the test, send logs via the app and shoot me a message so I can report it to Suunto.
-
@isazi hello i can confirm the bug
Powered off yesteday evening 22:11 with 8355 steps
Powered on this morning and you can see that before sync date/time was wrong and steps/calories were from yesterday;
after syncing with the app the date/time is ok but values did not reset.Registers uploaded to Suunto do you need anything to locate them?
I think you should have recreated as well and it’s easy for Suunto too

@isazi Hi, any news from Suunto, did you check the reported problem with them? I think it’s easy to reproduce… Thank You
