@Mff73 I didn’t buy a watch for sports activities in order to return to my phone for these things. This is one of the main reasons why I acquired this watch. My fault for not checking earlier, but I thought such a basic function was the standard.

It would make sense to have multiple results in the stopwatch, but not in interval based activity, because all of the gathered vitals metrics are from the person wearing the device. Not related to other people in any way.

But after all, you can record times without tying personal data to them. I only care about time measurement. Besides, intervals are also time, so such a developed function for measuring multiple times and based on intervals understood as stages of the distance traveled would be useful.

Oh no, yet another customer who has own expectations… and has not properly researched before buying 🤣 Sorry, I could not resist to write that based on another thread running here in parallell. Let‘s see when the advice comes to return the watch. 😆

I hope you‘re otherwise enjoying the watch! Just to clarify: you want to have independent timers while recording an activity? That are not saved with the activity? Could you formulate a User Story?

@Mauerwegler but at least @Ars-Vitae was polite about it! 🙂

Suunto+ apps are not smartphone things, but watch apps.

What you need/want is not existing “yet”, but if properly/nicely requested, it might become possible to those (not me) who are creating those S+ apps.

@Mff73 Well observed! The term app is used inflationary these days, no wonder @Ars-Vitae might have thought of a smartphone app.

@Mff73 My mistake, actually, I understood Suunto+ App as Suunto app on the phone. I take back what I wrote. I am familiar with those apps you showed, I was actually going to use them as a weapon against Suunto to show that they have scores for several players for Dart, and lack basic stopwatch functions 😉 I wonder how and where Suunto provides open code for app developers to create a full-fledged stopwatch. But still, a multifunctional stopwatch should be a basic function permanently implemented in the watch. Such a function is neither new nor anything complicated.

or discover that there seems to be some S+apps developpers in this forum 😉

@Ars-Vitae how would this S+ stopwatch ideally be like? Just start and then press a second button for laps that show up in some kind of a lap table? Or something else in your mind? Maybe you can sketch your idea and share again?

                          Thx!

@Egika Thank you for taking up the thread. I get the impression that someone would like to make such an application, isn’t it?:) It would be great! It seems to me that, as you write, it would more or less resemble those classic sports stopwatches, possibly with some slight extension: measuring interval times and different final results for several runners. I would provide a more detailed architecture of such an application (taking into account which button would be assigned to which command) in the next two days.

@Ars-Vitae the backlog of good ideas is maybe not too short and I am just forwarding this - so no idea about the outcome.
As not being a user of the stop watch myself I wanted to make sure that we are on the same page here.
Thank you for your effort to draft this from your perspective!!!

OK, it’s taken me a while, not just preparing the idea - that will be brief - but getting myself together to write a response. Family, work and other responsibilities took me elsewhere for a while, but I’m back. I think it would be worth rethinking or copying the function of a professional stopwatch such as the Seiko Stopwatch S141. I attach a photo from the OnTrack website. A pdf of the user manual is readily available in general. I am attaching the link: https://www.manua.ls/seiko/s141/manual?p=4
The manual explains exactly how such a stopwatch functions. As the Seiko has 4 buttons (Mode, Lap/Split-Reset, Recall and Start-Stop) you only need to replace e.g. the “Mode” button with another solution, e.g. by holding down the top button on the SV for a longer time (I know it is a shortcut to another function, but in an open stopwatch application it could be locked to that SV feature). Everything else is quite clearly described in the manual. If necessary I can rewrite it in a post here, but I don’t see the point if we are going to copy an already developed schema. Several features do not need to be implemented, e.g. how to delete collected data, this can be carried out in the same way as for other data stored in SV and the mobile app.
However, I maintain that such a professional stopwatch should be a core feature of the SV or SR and not just an additional Suunto Plus app, especially when they are called sports watches. Suunto could shake up the competition this way and win themselves new customers. It’s actually strange that such an option has been unavailable until now. Strange for me, of course, but it was one of my first thoughts when I first checked out the watch’s capabilities.
I hope that a good use can be made of it and the idea gets into the right hands. Thank you in advance for even just trying to pass this on to potential interested people.
                                Greetings!
