Suunto Smart Sensor HR Monitor No Longer Pairing
-
@stromdiddily
Put the battery in the wrong polarity during 3s to reset the sensor (potentially ), and place it back normal and check.
New batteries can also be faulty, so another fresh battery can be tested also. -
@stromdiddily sure you are using the correct battery? Suunto’s belt is using CR2025, not the more common CR2032.
The belt will switch on when it has skin contact only. -

I had the issue few month ago : impossible to pair my smart sensor depsite it had always worked perfectly…I had tried everything (changing strap, battery…).
I had to buy another one. -
@Tieutieu yes

@Egika Thanks, I’ll try with my “old” sensor then, hopefully it will be a real spare one if procedure works !

The belt will switch on when it has skin contact only.Very sure…wore it for my entire gym session yesterday to make sure the skin contact was sufficient then tried the 3 second reverse trick. Still doesn’t connect

@stromdiddily then - broken…?
You can still check with a BT app on your phone if the Sensor has any signs of life in it… -

Thanks for the tip on reverse polarity, will keep that in mind for next time

@stromdiddily
did you check the belt instead of the sensor ?
https://forum.suunto.com/post/124621
if the belt is not waking up the sensor properly, then, probably the sensor looks dead.
just to be sure, do you have tested another new fresh battery ? i sometimes have new batteries somehow not powerful enough despite new
according to the video, try to plug the sensor on the belt and put both belt electrode in contact to each of them (like short circuit), if it definitively not make the sensor seeable, it is probably dead or something we may not think about
