Just about charging Race. It’s super fast. Using only USB Hub with my iMac mini. Went from 30% to almost full in 20 min. That is amazing. Did not try wall charger at all. Should be even better at that case. My previous used Fenix 6, took cca 2 hrs to full charge. 👏

@ppresing Awesome to read a positive experience! 🙂 We should have a whole thread to support positive comments on the Race. Im starting to like the ‘Picture a day’ thread the most.

Yes, and it lasts a long time 💪🏻

Btw, just a quick one: I’ve read that Li-on batteries don’t like to be drained to 0% nor to be charged to the max; usually my phone battery stays between 40-85% while others say that a 25-80% interval should help a Li-on battery to last longer…
Might this apply to Suunto batteries as well?
          Thanks!

@fabula670 I read somewhere on here I think a breakdown of what the difference is over a lifetime of battery saving things like that vs just not worrying about it. The consensus was no one usually has their devices long enough (ie 10+ years) for it to ever be a big issue? 🤷

@ppresing I live the fast charging and the battery life. I get well over 14 days with activities for 8 days of that (10 hours gps on full).

Really like this watch, just struggling to see the figures when running as no glasses. Hopefully be able to customise faces soon to allow two fields without the rest of the crud!

I see your point of view, thanks for answering, Mike

@David-l You can customize sport mode faces to have 3 fields of view where one is large. Is that still a problem? I have no issues with 3 or 4 fields and I never set more than that.

@Brad_Olwin hi and thanks - yes, still too small for me. It was one of the reason I need to have the larger screen.

Please don’t shoot me down for comparing to Garmin, but they have a data screen (big numbers) where you can select 2 data fields and uses the whole screen to (ie no descriptors either) which was perfect.

The Big Numbers that is in Suunto Plus isn’t suitable for me because the different colour backgrounds makes it difficult to read - just black and white would be better, but also ability to just select 2 data fields of choice.

Ave lap pace and total distance is all I really use when racing tbh.

                    Thanks!

Now S+ is really growing, maybe one can request another one for your use case (and probably others) : a “big-big number” 😊.

@David-l I have old eyes and agree with you here, although 3 fields are enough for me. Garmin has quite a bit more flexibility here. I think this is a good request as there are others including me that would use this. I try to have as few screens as possible when racing and one with 2 screens I would likely use. I will ask how hard this would be to implement. I don’t think necessarily a good use case for S+ and on smaller watches 9PP and 9P it would be helpful.

Thanks! How do I request it or would it get picked up from here?

                          Much appreciated! Merry Christmas

@David-l I will post this as an idea request. I cannot promise anything as I have no knowledge nor any influence in what does or does not get implemented. I will hopefully know whether or not they decide to change it. Won’t be fast.
