      @Iceman1 Very interesting trick, How much do you off set the altitude by incorrectly? like 1000m?

        with 1000m dif, you will for sure see the job of fusedalti 🙂

        @Iceman1
        second graph looks better, but it is also another day, so, maybe, this second day could have been better, even without the altitude offset trick.
        But it opens the door to check “longer” and see. If with big initial offset, fusedalti is able to catch a “better” altitude fix than just letting it alone, it would be interesting to know. Probably this situation is already tested, but i will personnaly try

          @Mff73 You are correct that its not really possible to compare different days. It would be interesting If somebody with two watches could try to test them parallell 🤔

              @Iceman1 hello, actually this is what i was thinking to do but never done… we are out with family for long weekend so i have done couple of runs in different location. first thing what i have done i set up my actual elevation…:D and one day was beautiful day so readings of altimeter was really good. next day after the run i had +22meters at the finish which was the same point for start. so i have checked barometer and it had huge drop, so it kinda explains, but still i expect that watch evaluates such things during GPS activity. So my wife was going for the run same day, i have checked her Forerunner 255 and her altimeter was off +40 meters before run, because she does not care about it and never adjust. when she came back and i have checked her altitude graph and deviation was 2 meters for the start and finish point… this is what i was getting when were using Fenix 7x, never had to think about calibration or anything, watch was doing everything during GPS activity. with basically no deviation, therefore now it is getting more and more annoying…

                              If I remember correctly fusedalti doesn’t correct your altitude when you manually changed it before the activity. Read it somewhere on this forum.

                                I tested it several times on the Vertical. 15 minutes before the activity I changed the altitude to a complete false value and the Vertical calibrated within the first minute to the correct altitude.

                                May be a manual calibration immediately before the start of an activity is a problem.

                                    @pilleus correction to false altitude was done maybe 10 hours or more before the activity…

                                      Automatic alti-baro profile,

                                      Interesting observation on my Suunto Race. I live by the coast which is affected by high winds. I also live in an apartment on the 8th floor and unfortunately happen to be in a direction that when it is windy my apartment becomes a wind tunnel. I noticed quite a big change in altitude of 25m from 109m down to 84m, which is close to accurate altitude, all just from the change in air pressure.

                                      In the manual it states, " If you are at a constant altitude (less than 5 meters of vertical movement within 12 minutes), your watch interprets air pressure changes as weather changes and adjusts the barometer graph accordingly."

                                      However in the linked video below the watch thinks I’m changing altitude.

                                        @Brad_Olwin Hello,
                                        so while my Vertical being checked, they gave me Race as a replacement. i never thought i might like it so much. it is very fun device, because i always run in the dark and that screen is just pleasing. i have done two runs so far. first one had extraordinary altimeter performance (day before run i have adjusted altitude manually to correct one), but for today’s run i have set altitude off again by +115m and watch did not correct it either (last two runs in the table):

                                          @Tadas-Linge hard for me to interpret your table, but from the trace on the initial post on your Vertical there are a lot of small spikes in the trace. It would be helpful to see the trace for the Race as well. I do not know what the actual altitude is for your run. Below is an example from me for yesterday, a SkiMo with my 9PeakPro underneath all clothing on my wrist and my Vertical outside my jacket exposed to snow, wind etc. They both show identical profiles. 9PP/Vertical Ascent 878/890; Descent 879/877.

                                            yes sure,

                                            this is the first run with manually correctly adjusted altitude:

                                            and this is second run with manually not correctly adjusted altitude (+115m):
