@vidmarr I saw this build on Reddit also. Can you please share how to build one? I can’t find anything like it. Please!!
-
@vidmarr is it an F3 stem attachment to start with?
-
@vidmarr ok. I figured it out. This will work with any mount. Not sure why I thought it was such an engineering marvel lol!
-
@Likarnik this one looks like a KOM.
-
@robis could you share it please?
-
-
@robis where do you get the aluminum clip? I was going to do something different but this looks much better. Maybe someone could 3d print a clip?
-
@robis cool!

@i5boi hey you have to ask to the OP, unfortunately I’m not the author
-
@vidmarr how much are you selling these bad boys for? Sell the patent to Suunto lol.
-
Does anyone have experience with these mounts? Could it fit?️️️
-
@Durri no…

Well, since the primary discussion went to ‘offtopic’ about the custom mount (pictures), I suppose there’s no solution to set the display to ‘always ON’ during cycling, MTB, etc???
I always use Race on my handlebar mount and i’ts realy anoing, that display is automaticly dimmed. It’s hardly readable in this dimmed mode, specialy maps, maybe in dark forest yes, but on the normal daylight no go! Since you do not press or rotate the crown, to wake up the display (just for a few seconds) it’s for me useless! Tryed different angles of positioning Race on handlebar, but no! The general setting of display to ‘always on’ does not help either. So at this stage of FW we are not able to set display to its constant full brigtness, or I’m missing something??? -
This is the reason I switched to the Vertical. I didn’t find a solution and the fact, that the full brightness is needed during the whole bike ride to have a usable map is a no go for me.

@Durri Garmin 26mm mount for Fenix etc series is perfect!! Just tested this because I have the mount and both Suunto Race and Garmin Fenix 7Z Solar watches.

@MrFreeze how strong is mount?
-
I Think with Suunto Race it is almost stronger in place than Garmin in it. But not in a bad way. It just works It is impossible to come off I think. I have watch strap lugs in place, I think that it is harder to come off when they are in place. Garmin mount works just as well as Fenix watch in it. I am proud that I discovered this to community

@MrFreeze Hi, which size did you use?
