Display heart rate while recording hiking

I really tried to find this in the app and online but couldn’t. I recorded a hike, and my heart rate was not visible during the hike. Trail running has it. Mountain biking has it. How can I get my heart rate on the display when I am hiking, during the hike? Thanks in advance.

@Mardee-Saxton the band around the outside of the display also shows the zones if you don’t need the exact reading.

Thanks everyone for your responses. It seems like it’s not available for the Vertical. Is that correct? The Sport Mode Customization link is inactive and the Vertical is not listed on this page.

it unfortunately takes some time to sync. once the watch is synced the sport customisation field becomes active

Everything is working for the Vertical perfectly fine, as it is described in the link your shared.

@Mardee-Saxton, as other users have said, you can customise the sport mode or, as I did, you can simply add to your activity mode, by means of Suunto Plus, the “HR Zones Duration” app: this app will show you the current HR and the overall duration of the activity inside each HR zone.
