My answer is a little late, but I have the same type of need with a Concept2 rowing machine.
The easiest way is to record your exercise with the ErgData app.
As I’m on iOS I use RunGap which allows me to connect ErgData / Sunnto / etc, and exchange data.

@seanvk Indeed, this is a request I have already made - it would be great if Suunto could add compatibility to the Concept rowers and SkiErgs etc

SV Ti All Black, Coros Apex Pro, Ambit 3 Peak, Ambit 3 Sport (sold), Ambit 2 (Sold), X10 Mi (Retired), Quest (Sold), T3 (Sold), T6C (Retired as unfixable - Suunto gave me a big discount on Ambit 2!), Polar H10 belt, Suunto Smart Belt

@Swaddy61 cross trainer was the closest I could find. It would be nice to have am activity similar to the one for indoor rowing, which tracks strokes, stroke rate and distance.

@Swaddy61 I also use a Coros watch. My watch is compatible with Concept2’s PM5. So I can read the data live during exercise and record my session directly on the watch. It’s great, and it would be great if Suunto could sign a partnership with Concept2.

              @ADidier I also use a concept2 rower.
If you compare the values between the ergDataApp and the Suunto activity „indoor rowing“ you can see that the Suunto watch write nearly the same values. Aber your exercise „indoor rowing“ you can set the exact meters on the Suunto display before storing.

But there is almost a small difference to the concept2 rower PM5.

@Sportsfreund this is a good idea - you could modify the rowing profile. I wonder what happens when Strava imports the activity.

@Sportsfreund That works if you are doing the indoor rowing as a standalone exercise, but I often do it as part of a multisport set, after which you have no way to adjust the distance of just the rower. I find the Suunto overestimates the rowing distance quite a lot.
And yes, the Coros implementation of integrating with the Concept 2 / PM5 was spot on!
Come on Suunto, you know you can 💪 😏 !

Strava is directly connectable with your c2 Account.

@Swaddy61 after loading your multisport activity in the Suunto app you can work in every part of it.
Except on iOS App at the moment. There is a bug.

@Sportsfreund ahh, I don’t bother with a c2 account. But thanks for the info. My rower has an old PM3, so it’s more convenient for me to sync from Suunto app.

@Sportsfreund Hmmm… I must be missing something then. I am on Android, but after loading into Suunto App I can edit the total distance of the total activity (which includes outdoor cycling with GPS), but not the individual distance of the rowing.
And if I edit the total, the individual distances for each sport type remain as they were, in other words still adding up to the original total.
So how do I edit just the rowing distance? (The multisport is outdoor cycling either side of the indoor rowing)

Shame on me. You are right, in Multisport you can’t make adjustments in the rowing part.

So there is another polite request to Suunto! 😁

How do you set this on watch and before saving to app?
Press resume or end and than something else?
