          Hi everyone,

          I just bought the Suunto Sonic and they look really great and I love the lime color. It is my first pair of bone conduction headphones and I was wondering if it is normal that there are some vibrations next to my ears but not all the time. It seems to be linked to some frequencies. Does this have a link with the new enhanced bass?
          Also what does IP55 means exactly? Can I used them with pouring rain or just light rain?

              @Egika Ok thanks for the link. On Suunto’s website it is indicated that it can be used under the rain, but no mention of what type of rain. By reading the webpage of the WINGS, I guess the only difference is that the WINGS can go under water but the SONICS can’t and both are good under whatever type of rain

                  @lexterm77 Ok thanks, that is more clear 🙂
                  I guess I shouldn’t use these headphones under pouring rain then?
                  So it seems to depend on the strength of the wind?

                  I think manufacturers should make it more clear how we can use a device. Because under the rain, yes. But up to what level? And they tell you an IP number and then if you have problem with the device they might tell you that it was clear how to use it and that you didn’t understand so it is the fault of the customer and not the seller.
                  From what I have seen by doing some research to better understand, it seems that even the WINGS who can go underwater do not stand heavy rain if the strength is too strong.

                    @geolerigolo

                    With Sonic IP55, I wouldn’t swim. But with Wing IP67 you can swim, just don’t dive.

                    Note that IP rating is when device is new. As it ages rating drops.

                      @lexterm77 Ok thank you for your answer. I didn’t know that it was not for the entire life of the product. I’ll have to be careful on how it behaves after some years, but I hope I can get at least 8 to 10 years of use with it 🙂
                      How would you use it under the rain? In any rain conditions? Or not under pouring or heavy rain?
                      Because it seems to be depending on the strength at which the rain falls on the headphones, which can be increased by for example the strength of the wind or if the rain falls heavily
