@Brad_Olwin should consider this watch over vertical or race if i am not doing diving? It is really beautiful but heavy watch

@krakra I would not. This is a watch for recreational divers that do also other sports. If you donโ€™t dive, you can save money and buy a Race or Vertical.

@SuuntoR never tested, I donโ€™t take naps, but it should as anything else sleep related is the same as Race.

I would get either the Vertical or Race titanium instead, they are much lighter if you do no diving. The battery life on the Ocean and Race should be identical. I need the battery life of the Vertical, that is why I purchased a Vertical for my own use. I do like the Race a lot but want to have maps when I do longer races.

Am I mistaken or does Ocean have a new font?

@cjanevate I did not notice that, but my eye for graphical things is not good ๐Ÿ™‚

Edit: oh, the new watch face, all watches will get that (without the no fly complications)

Awesome. This watch was made for me. ๐Ÿค™ Do any of the testers know if the OHR works at depth to record heart rate while SCUBA diving?

@Alejandro interesting! Most testers here were only involved on testing the โ€œabove groundโ€ part of the watch, but I can ask.

Just an opinion - If you want AMOLED watch without crown, okay (or even happy) with relatively heavy and big watch, then Suunto Ocean is great. I believe it has the best look on the market.
I know people inside and outside Suunto who happily use Suunto Ocean as their main outdoor watch.

But should keep in mind that Suunto Ocean software can be updated not as often as dedicated outdoor devices.

Just curiousโ€ฆ is there any legislation around dive watches for manufacturers? Or is it just like building outdoor/sports watches?

@surfboomerang Dive devices pass special testing, and there are special standards for it, like EN 13319:2000.
