Map scale : radius or diameter ?

hello,
the search on the forum did not answer to my question, so here it is :
when we see the map screen, what is the scale with regards to the length displayed on the watch (100m on the thumbnail) :

is it the radius of the watch?
or is it the diameter of the watch ?

It is not indicated neither in the Suunto help (https://www.suunto.com/fr-fr/Assistance/Assistance-produit/suunto_vertical/suunto_vertical/navigation/cartes-hors-ligne/)
