      I’m thinking that potentially there could be a good number of people that would use this ‘sport’ mode, I am curious as to what fields would be desired or required for meditation or breathing? 🤔

        @Luciano-P I personally like and have used those on Polar and Garmin watches. It would be nice to have.

            If you do a quick research you’ll find a couple of posts on this forum where someone suggested how to tweak existing sport modes for breathwork / meditation.
            With the increased popularity of these activities, I think it would be a nice move from Suunto to offer dedicated sport modes on their watches. On the other hand, a friend of mine who has a top-end Garmin watch told me that he finds their functionality limited and not very useful.

              Why not use the yoga mode ? Or stretching ?

                @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos

                Yoga can be very intense, especially in forms like Ashtanga and Vinyasa, which combine challenging postures, deep breathing, and meditation. In pure meditation, the focus is more on breathing and stress levels.

                  I can tell you why I am not using yoga/stretching or any other custom activity for meditation 🙂
                  It synchronizes to apple health as activity, not as mindful minutes, thus not automatically counting in my habits/routine tracking apps 🙂

                  +1 for dedicated meditation mode.

                    In reality, I discovered something rather fascinating. It is part of the Suunto guides inside the watch, the first guided exercise is breathing, you can follow this https://www.suunto.com/sports/News-Articles-container-page/emelie-forsbergs-top-7-yoga-poses-for-runners/
                    with the guide inside the watch.
                    It’s simply fantastic! thank you Suunto🙏🏻

                      I agree with @Łukasz-Bobrek. It would be nice to have a Meditation activity that would sync as wellness in health apps instead of being considered sport activity. In my case —and I guess for many others— having accountability of my meditation sessions helps a lot to establishing that habit.

                      Another +1 for dedicated meditation mode.

                      @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos What is the correct way to request a feature like this? I guess a forum post is not the right channel.

                      Thanks!

                        @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos because we’re a bunch of pedants and if the word is wrong, it’s all wrong, the world will end, Suunto doesn’t love us, and we’ll be forced to Garmin. Or something.

                        Sarcasm aside, if there was a meditation app, I’d expect it to track HRV, and show change in HRV during the session, similar to how Õura does. I know wrist HRV is a PITA, and requires the person to be still, so a chest strap would be best… so there’d be a compromise between good data and ease of use, with the app rejecting unreliable HRV due to the accelerometer detecting motion and falling back to HR, advising the user at the end of the problem.

                        Õura also track finger temperature if the session is long enough, concluding that an increase in temperature correlates with an increase in relaxation due to vasodilation.
