I’ve just purchased a Suunto Vertical Solar and I’d like to know - what are the 5 coloured segments that form a ring around some of the default Sport Mode displays, such as Walking Basic and Hiking Basic? I can see also there’s a small triangle that moves along the segment.

I’ve checked the user manual and I can’t find any mention of them. Also I can’t find any references or descriptions of what is displayed for each of the default sport modes. I can only see some descriptions for when you create a customised sports mode.

If this isn’t covered in the user manual, are there any websites or videos that go into detail on the default sports modes and the contents of their respective screens?

@badders by default those are your 5 heart rate zones (you can switch to pace/power if you want in the start menu).

@isazi Thanks. So I guess the triangle is your heart rate percentage within those 5 zones? Is there any documentation anywhere that defines these zones and how the triangle moves within them?

@badders default zones are based on your max HR, you can configure them yourself in the watch configuration
