On the S7 under Developer options > Wear developer options you can find a setting: Force display burn-in protection
This comes disabled, I enabled, I don’t know how work but looks that this could help 🤞
This setting change it again to “disabled” after next reboot.

Oh no my Suunto7 screen is totally burned !
the 2 years of warranty are timeout !
And the tips don’t work at all 😥

            • “Force display burn-in protection” in developer option
            • application “Wear LCD Ghost Remove” don’t do anything

@cedric13 yes, the “force…” it’s for new displays and “maybe” helps. This is permanent and the only avaible fix is change the screen to get back this in… 2 years? Forget it and enjoy your S7 😁

No idea about price, but you can try sending a email to Suunto Support.

For me the main problem with this is that the SWA text contrast don’t help to mitigate the problem, because the for example the custom sport mode is light grey and be very difficult to read in some situations, more when we are on moving. On your case, Course à pied it’s not the more important info to select your activity, this is CAP, and is mixed with the ghosting background.
Some time ago I suggested this thread that could help a lot with this problem, only if inverting the colours of Sport Mode/Custom Sport Mode.

                  I bought S9P

@macdav yes, sadly it’s normal. Also the SWA interface don’t helps to delay this because it’s too bright and white. Maybe a very dark interface could delay a lot this behavior.

@sartoric This is the way. I cracked the crystal on my out of warranty watch and they replaced it for free.

I had the same problem after approx 18 months of usage, screen burnt in and was getting hard to read out with white/light backgrounds. Like some other contributors, I do not use a lot the screen during my activities (screen off 95% of the time).

Suunto reparied/replaced the screen during warranty end of 2022.

However, the screen has again burnt in and again the watch starts to be quite unusefull… i think it’s more of a design problem and the choice of this amoled screen seems not to correspond to the high Suunto standards…(I own also a Suunto Core from the nineties…yes last millenium, which still operates perfectly).

I’m thinking chaning the watch, still I lost some confidence in Suunto flawless quality, and have some doubts on amoled technology.
