Whilst I understand the Ocean with its diving capacity has more complexity in producing updates, it seems that with two major updates for Suunto watches in the past couple of months, the Ocean may start to get very much left behind. Is anyone in the community able to provide some realistic timeframes as to when we could see an update for the Ocean that brings some of the added functionality that other watches have seen over the past few months.

I’m also hoping to know, can’t wait to see all the new stuff in the lovely Ocean.

          no time frames.
Just the repetition of what is known.
As Ocean has more responsibility in regards of diver’s safety, FW changes will need additional checking.
The update cycle thus is slower.
Currently there are new firmwares under testing, so it is in the works and not forgotten.

@StuieD Ocean will get an update soon with dive related fixes. After that is out, work on porting some new features from the other watches will surely start. Hopefully Q4 2024.

@isazi I do hope so, the Ocean is such an excellent watch, in my mind it is Suunto’s flag ship. It is a shame they do not see it important to provide customers a timeline/or intended upcoming updates, instead leaving people guessing/hoping (and frustrated over time). Climb pro and watch face customisation I have my fingers crossed for, whilst not impatient, just want to know they intend to roll out within a timeframe…it appears to be the case. Still love the watch.

@StuieD Suunto does not provide a timeline for any of their products, Ocean included.
