Step count calculation during the "Hunting" activity

If I select the “Hunting Outdoor” exercise the watch does not calculate step count during the activity at all. I just finished 15km walk and after I saved the activity my watch shows only the steps I have took before the activity.
Is this intentional and if so can I somehow change this behaviour?

Same issue here. When an Activity is in progress my Race stops counting steps. After going to the gym first thing Saturday morning the Race showed 547 steps, the gym app showed 4,775. The gym app isn’t 100% accurate BUT this isn’t a small discrepancy.
This is my 4th Suunto and never seen this behaviour before.

@ben_cb Sorry to ask, but I have never got that detailed results with my Verical paired to a Android device. How can you get all that?
