Stryd elevation
-
Morning - checking to see if anyone is having issues with Stryd recording elevation ? The SV does collect elevation but not the pods don’t - I have raised this either Stryd also - will report back if it’s an issue.

@murphyp228 I have no Stryd anymore, but Suunto Watches can only get pace, distance, power from Stryd (and running dynamics if used with the S+ app). Elevation is something that Stryd records (otherwise power measurements would not work) but does not transmit to your watch.

@murphyp228 some notes on Stryd/Suunto, with a link to a forum post where we got into it: https://zulusierra.co/p/using-suunto-and-stryd-in-2024
TL;DR is that the workout data from Suunto contains elevation, but that elevation is overwritten by data from the pods. I had the same issue, and Stryd and I resolved it by swapping the primary pod over. You do this by identifying the current pod 1, unpairing both pods, and then taking what was pod 2 and your phone somewhere out of bluetooth range of pod 1. Pair, then it’ll be come pod 1, and pair the other pod which will become pod 2. Ta da you should see elevation data…
