For some workouts I want to use HR belt instead of wrist HR. I’ve disabled wrist HR in workout settings and made sure HR belt sensor is enabled. But HR never seems to appear and the watch is blinking wrist HR lights anyway.

Unless I go to settings, remove HR belt and pair it again, then it works perfectly. But I have to do it every time I’m starting a workout with HR belt and it’s annoying. Funnily enough it happens both on Suunto’s own belt and Polar one so it’s probably software issue.

Is there anything that can be done?

@kalajooseppi Do you have HR belt connected to Polar app? I had that problem.

@JonasLarsson Nope, I’ve only used the belt with this Peak 9

The workout starting screen doesn’t even show the icon for belt when this happens, just a blinking grey heart icon. I’ve triple checked that I have wrist HR disabled and HR belt enabled for the exercise to no avail.

If I go to watch settings, remove HR belt and pair it again then it works as expected and the pre-workout screen has HR belt icon flashing. But then again when starting the next exercise of same type it doesn’t detect anything.
