Suunto Race S titanium

Just go the new Race S titanium, anyone notice that if you use a heart rate strap it will show HR data in the main screen, but when I use a arm heart rate strap it wont show HR data in main screen, but will in activity mode. Is that normal or do I have a hardware issue?

@Egika from the main screen and when you scroll down to the HR widget is what I am referring too. I was told when using an external HR sensor it disables the readings from the HR widget to conserve battery life, curious if yall have the same experience. Good news it works fine during activities for my Polar H10 and Coros arm band HR strap.

This is the home widget for the HR where you scroll down to see your widgets, the HR widget doesn’t show HR when external sensor is being used but will for an activity. Was curious is you have the same experience?

@Sasso89 it is by design, that the widget data only uses the wrist heart rate sensor.
An external BT belt will be used during activity, not for this widget.It would be very difficult and battery consuming, if the watch should check constantly, if a BT device is in range and use that data. To allow for 24/7 HR data recording, wrist based HR is the only way that makes sense.
