    Hi there,

I am doing a 15-16 hour race in a few weeks time and have been playing with the settings to try and get maximum battery life our of my SSWHR. I have managed to establish that if I keep GPS on good or best, Screen display off, Wrist HR off, I can probably project battery life to around 12 hours. I did however find I was losing Kilometers when dropping the accuracy much below good.

Has anyone played with this and do I even have a chance of getting to 16 hours without dropping stacks of kms?

    Thanks,
    Adrian

16 hours doesn’t seems possibile to me for a SSS, also without ohr, low color, and screen time out, at least in best accuracy.
Have you considerate a little power bank?

no idea if it works, but… having external battery connected to watch while it is recording activity?

It works. Of course you can’t use OHR

@sartoric well I understand, first thing to save battery is using external band…

@bossmanthe If you do not have the baro model, which from the post I assume you do not, there will be no elevation data for the race provided by the watch. The GPS-based elevation data only works in Best mode. If you to not care about the elevation data, screen time out, no autolap, good fix, low color mode, no OHR should get you the battery life you need.
