Moderator deleted my post

Hi,
Why my post was deleted? I am a 50 year old engineer and diver and recently bought a suunto ocean. I appreciate some respect. Please, let me know if this is how suunto behaves and I will return my watch very quikly to get a garmin mrk3. Thanks.

@aquanaut this forum is moderated by volunteer users. Suunto company is not messing around here dictating anything. Some quite harsh criticism has been seen in the past, so it is hard for me to imagine you posting anything worth deleting. Sometimes new threads are locked because people start new discussions about stuff that has already been answered thoroughly. Even then the locked post is not hidden.
Have you checked if your post has been moved to a more suitable category? Are you sure it’s not just an error on the forum platform (I once was unable to attach images) or are you absolutely sure you didn’t mess something up yourself?
We are all simply Suunto users and we deserve respect as well. Your way of handling this sounds a bit aggressive. And frankly nobody cares if you switch camp.

Maybe an error on your side? For me - especially on mobile browsers - it sometimes happened that a message I wrote was not posted, since lost connection while on the go… I NEVER saw moderators deleting messages here in the last few years.

It’s reassuring to know that the forum is not moderated by rude individuals. However, based on some of the replies I’ve received, there are exceptions. That said, I’m not concerned, as such responses often reflect more about the person replying aggressively than about the topic or question being discussed.
Thank you once again! I look forward to seeing some of the bugs in the Suunto Ocean resolved. It’s truly a great device.

If I remember correctly, the first posts written from a new account are moderated, that is, they are queued and need manual approval by moderators (which means they do not appear straight away, which is not the same as „being deleted“). This keeps the forum bot-free. I would like to thank the moderators for the well-readable, noise-free forum!
