HRM not functioning reset settings battery drains too quickly

Hi, please help! HRM not functioning every time I started a new exercise. Need to turn off the watch before HRM to function. I tried to reset to factory settings then even became worst because yesterday battery drains too quickly after almost 13 hours in the trail battery is 1 percent.
