My Suunto Race has been using between 12% and 14% battery for a few months. I have already tried a soft reset, I have left the battery at 0%, I have completed several charge cycles and nothing changes. Has anyone tried doing a factory reset and it resolved the battery drain problems?

I have not but that’s pretty high for your watch. What are your settings? AOD, brightness level, etc?

You have pretty much exhausted all of support’s pre “you can return it” standard response

Always carry a flaggon of whiskey for snakebite; and furthermore, always carry a small snake.

@stromdiddily Months ago the autonomy was 10 to 12 days with the same configuration and use. I have not changed anything to justify this increase in consumption. This increase occurred suddenly. The watch is only one year old.

@MarioPedraza ok, I’d get ahold of support then letting them know you’ve done their typical troubleshooting already

@stromdiddily As a last option, I would like to do a factory reset, but that means losing all the clock information and configuring all again. That’s why I was asking if anyone had done it, because if it doesn’t work, I don’t have to set everything up again.

            Has anyone done it?

            Thanks.

@MarioPedraza I had battery drain out of the box (it was easy for me to compare as both my wife and I got Race S watches at the same time and configured them identically). I did a factory reset three times, as well as all the other things suggested and the problem was solved with a replacement under warranty.

Factory reset done. It doesn’t seem the problem has been resolved. Continue with high consumption.
