ZoneSense December update - malfunctioning when used with another app
-
Opening a new discussion not to add more unrelated topics to the main conversation about ZoneSense.
I updated the app to the newest version released on 03/12. This morning I used it for the first time in combination with the Manual Intervals - Hill Reps app. ZoneSense seemed to be working (I only looked once) until I started the first hill with the lap button, then it showed “Waiting for data” pretty much all the time until the end.
Before this case I had always used ZoneSense without issues, even in combination with structured workouts, but probably never with other apps. The only issue for me - and it’s still there - was that the cumulative times in each zone displayed during the activity are different than those reported after in SA.
If the aim of this update was to fix issues when used with other apps, there might be still some errors to check. -
While many (most?) SuuntoPlus apps seem to have been fixed to work with ZoneSense, today I experienced another bug situation.

Suunto Race S

Custom Trail running mode, but mostly exactly as the original.

SuuntoPlus “ZoneSense” and “TrainingPeaks - Run” normally work together without any problems, but when also adding a Route (navigation) to the mix, ZoneSense gets blocked and display the “Waiting for data” message also after the 10 minutes non-gathering period. Only way to unlock the app was to disable the TrainingPeaks app.
“Feedback” in the Suunto App sent today Thu 30 Jan 2025 at ca 12:21 (midday) UTC+1 with both send ‘user data’ and ‘log’ options ticked.
Don’t know if this was the correct way to report bugs, since there (in the app) in “Settings” exists another “Send logs to Suunto” option (perhaps that one is more complete…)

@Inge-Nallsson I am forwarding this to Suunto, thanks.

Not sure if the “Feedback” also send logs, so next time try also “Send logs to Suunto”
