New Suunto Aqua - swimming headphones with offline music
-
Would be interesting if you can control the music via watch. I didn’t see it mentioned…
-
@VoiGAS offline music in Suunto Aqua cannot be controlled from the watch. But you can define playlists in SA and then select them in Aqua.
-
Found no review of it. Anyone here with more luck?
The most interesting part for me are the additional metrics. Swimming and Cycling are mentioned, but nor Running. Still I hope it could deliver something like Garmins Running Dynamics… -
@VoiGAS no running measurements from these. As the name says, it’s major element is water.
I guess Suunto has something else in the pipeline with some running dynamics -
@Egika It also says neck tirement measurement for biking - so it could be a triathlon device if they find something for running.
But I will also wait and hope for some Suunto Running Dynamics -
There is a Suunto Aqua App now it the store. It seems like this app is necessary to record the additional metrics. Strange, I was expecting native support…
-
@VoiGAS there is both.
Aqua can record swimming metrics stand-alone.
Or it can be used to “enrich” the data recorded with a Suunto watch (using the S+ app)In the first case of course HR and some other watch-based data will not be part of the recording.

Now Suunto Aqua is also available in Europe
-
released for Asia / Pacific
Not in Australia / New Zealand, only price shows on country specific pages here.

The aqua with Suunto android app has issues playing offline music loaded into the music folder. Looks like they put out a buggy product.
