Baro / temperature sensors issue
-
For the last couple of weeks, the watch suddently stopped reading the correct altitute and temperature. During activities there is no elevation recorded. It just slightly changes along the course, for instance recording 100m of altitude difference instead of 1000. When not on exercise altitude is also not adjusting. The same with temperature, it is not displayed at all. I have tried multiple soft resets and the readings seem to get back to normal but after some minutes they are wrong again with temperature not displayed at all. The same happens with execrcise recording. I have lastly tried a hard reset with no result. Can’t really understand if this is a software or a sensor issue.
Another thing to note is that when I load a track and use it during an exercise, the preloaded ascent is correctly decreased as I progress with finally reaching the total ascend that was calculated. Don’t know if this calculation uses the baro sensor or not but it made me wonder.
I wouldn’t bother much for the temperature, but elevation is an important reading both on cycling and mountains. Does anybody have any advices?

The sensor is responsible for both temp and pressure=altitude.
And it seems definitively faulty. No temp is a bad sign. -
@Mff73 Indeed, I see the relation is obvious. The watch also seems to be restarting itself out of the blue when not recording an exercise. I haven’t noticed any pattern though. Perhaps if the sensor got issues it causes these crashes.

For the sake of the post, the watch keeps restarting itself, went into service mode, reported 1403 errors multiple times. Keeps working but with big problems. Will probably send it for service.
