@Pavlas For Cycling you should be aware of the differences AMOLED vs MIP. Being an AMOLED Watch the Suunto will not display Values and Maps in Full Brightness all the time. You have to use Lift to wake or push a button to read. The good news is: This should prevent the screen to burn in.

@Pavlas I own both and normally I would be the one advocating for the preservation of MIP techā¦
But, Suuntoās UI simply wants to live in AMOLED worldātext crisp, colors vibrant, and gradients dynamic. It makes for a more luxurious experience and as @VoiGAS mentioned burn-in shouldnāt be of critical concern.

Thanks for the feedback. Iām still comparing both watches. It is true that the maps on the amoled display are amazing. And I thought the Vertical had great maps too. The amoled display is very addictive. -
I am looking at this watch and saw the list of issues with a lot of the functions back in November. Are there still problems with the GPS, Altitude, heart rate, no fly, sleep, and step accuracy?

Maybe request for next update.
Maybe add volume option for notification.
Will be possible add fast switch for vibration only? Sometime beeping noise can be annoying.
Is in plan Spotify integration + Bluetooth headphones?
And last request upgrade diving watchface. There is place for more information.

@kenellis I just bought two (one for my wife and one for me) and even after the December update, the steps do not measure well. You have to move very markedly the arms to detect steps ā¦ even in walking mode, in 3km I counted 900 steps and should be at least three timesā¦ We are looking forward to an update to fix it because the watch is amazing and it is perfect to be able to do activities and monitor our daily life with our dive watch.

Hello I have detected that if I use the āweightsā mode then it stops counting stepsā¦ and in the āwalkingā mode the step count fails too, it does not count many steps. we are talking about saying that 3km are 1000 stepsā¦everything is correct and I have restarted several times and tried it on two different oceans (my wifeās and mine). Are you working on fixing that? It has to be a thing of the last updateā¦greetings

Received my Suunto Ocean saturday, and dove once with it. Feels and looks great!
Does the airplane symbol and the blue ring disappear at fixed time after the last dive, or does it depend on how much gas you accumulated during the dive? My ring went blue after 12 hours, the plane green and checked after 24 hours, but the blue ring only disappeared after 72 hours.Small additional question: what is the meaning of the green led next to the watcheās button, on the right side?

One of the main data for freediver is last dive time. It is nessessary to calculate your surface time. Now we have to move to other screens to see it. Please in next update add it in bottom data field.

And, one more thing. Maybe somebody wrote about it, but. It would be nice if underwater computer switches autoumatically in last diving mode when it is submurged. Now I have to switch freediving each time I go to the water. If I forget to do it , I have to cancel scuba diving mode, it takes time while I have to work with my students already.
As for application. I want to analize each dive and see the data of each: speed, dive time, surface time, temperature and etc.

I know that steps and step counter is not crucial in a sports watch and step counter in Ocean from the last update is much better but that screen Steps for the last 7 days is completely wrong. Is that really that hard to calculate and give correct information

Guys I do have one strange bug. For example time of sunset in my location is 8:30 PM. While freediving in freedive mode it shows that time of sunset is different and much much different like 1:30 PM. GPS works and shows location correctly while iām in water .
What can be wrong ?

I believe that is the time remaining to sunset. So in your example you would have 1 hour 30 minutes till the sun set.

Lookinā @ a new Suunto Ocean ā as an activity-tracking device & SCUBA dive computer:
(Should record runs, bike rides etc. & sync data OK with Strava, seems to offer more detailed activity features I may delve into. Certainly would use it SCUBA diving of course.)
One concern is bright, always-on-display during bike mode ā Iāll likely want to mount it on the bike handlebar (via an attachment) & have it always-on so I can track & see the distance ridden easily. Web searches indicate this may not be so easy in bike mode, there may have been a firmware upgrade that improved it, but unsure.
Does anyone have recent experience with this?
