what exactly is the temperature sensor for? To measure fever it shows too cold and outside on a ski tour it shows too warm. So at what point does the sensor make sense?
      have a nice day

@vinc14 Primarily to compensate for temperature variations that affect the barometric pressure sensor.

        SV: fingers crossed :D
S9 (non-baro): died after 2 months, replaced, holding strong since 03/20
Spartan Trainer: casing broke after 23 months, repaired, lost watertightness 5 months later, died
Despite some pretty bad luck, I still love Suunto!

@vinc14 basically what @inkognito said. You may want to refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_altimeter for more details.

@vinc14 oh, also - you can submerge the watch in water to see its temperature which some folks find handy. Or, while bushcrafting or in any outdoor environment - you can take your watch off and hang it somewhere to have an accurate temperature reading after some time.

I use suunto race all black. What is this watch temperature sensor? Weather, then this is nonsense, because it shows incorrectly.

@ErzincanLee what do you mean? Weather shows temperature of … the weather, which is pulled from your phone. In addition to that it has an ambient temperature sensor. This is what guys above are talking about.

@ErzincanLee it’s a mix of watch and body temperature, essentially a part of the watch. It’s used for barometric altimeter to measure the altitude. Pretty standard.
