Like with the 2.29 Update, watchface settings have all gone. That´s poor

Also developers should focus on the main things. instead of adding new watchfaces oder new sports like “meditation” they should add essential functions you need for the main thing, which is running! Poor implementation of intervall-training and missing essential fields like “time of last intervall / round”.

      Really disapointing

Thank you for sharing your preference!

Let’s put it this way: for you the main thing is running.
For me it is climbing, surfing and mountain biking.
For some others it surely is new watch faces and sleep tracking.
The customer base out there is diverse.
And Suunto’s product management has to deal with it 🙂

@Egika The name of the watch is “Race” It´s just disappointing to me when essentials are not working or missing.

@tomclownfisch I wanted to say that essentials are highly individual. They are not universal

And yes, I race with skis, on my mountainbike and with my kite…

@Egika My main sport is trail running, in the jungle or in the mountains. I sometimes do intervals, mostly guided by RPE, and my watch plays a minimal role. I really disliked Garmin’s approach — all the beeping, rigid timing, telling me what to do every second. My Suunto gives me the freedom to connect with nature while training. Sure, it could improve, but for how I use it, it’s more than enough.

@tomclownfisch My watch is called Vertical, but I often move horizontally. Sorry, I just couldn’t resist 🙂

@Egika While you are right as essentials are high individual, but you’re trying to find excuses with so much bad faith…its not what you used us to 😞
Why the Suunto race is a running watch :

                  • advertised as a running watch during marketing campaign
                  • the main “title” on the suunto race website is (in French) “the watch for running and training”.
                  • ALL of the images in the store page are about running people. (except one, where they are eating pizza…in running gear)
                  • the most popular sport done with any smartwatch is running, so you can guess that running should be pretty high in the list of stuff a sport smart watch should do
                  • Sponsored by Courtney Dewalter, and this girl is definitively not known for mountain biking

Sorry you lost settings, which ones did you lose? Just complications? If so, when the watch face is updated the complications will default back to their original values. Doesn’t seem like a huge issue but irksome I agree.
I am glad to have meditation……I am an ultra runner and the recent research suggests that psychology can have a huge effect on your performance. I paid for a sports performance psychology training plan and now I have a sport mode to match it with.

@Brad_Olwin At least for me also the treadmill correction factor was gone after one of the last updates. Not sure about the latest one as the temperature allows outdoor running 😀
