Map tooth visible in all screens & waypoint names missing
-
I recall seeing this issue mentioned on the forum before, but I haven’t been able to find it again using the search function.
Over the weekend, I completed a 33-mile trail run that I had planned using Strava. The route included 22 named waypoints.
After about two hours into the run, the map tooth remained visible across all screens as I cycled through them. This was quite frustrating, as it obscured various data fields on the other screens.
Additionally, some of the waypoint names disappeared when the “distance to next waypoint” prompt appeared. Sometimes the correct name was shown, but other times it just displayed “waypoint.” I’ve reviewed all the waypoints in the app, and they were correctly imported from Strava.
Race version: 2.40.44
App version: 2.45.3Any insights or fixes would be appreciated!

@Mattg576 Waypoints from imported routes sometimes work differently in other apps/devices. Maybe that’s the problem?
If you have problems with the map screen, sometimes reloading the gpx route helps. -

@maszop Well, I create my waypoints in the Suunto App only, and I also have this problem that sometimes the name shows properly and sometimes it just shows ‘Waypoint’.
In fact, because of issues like this one I almost gave up on the bother of creating them - half of the time it doesn’t show the name and, more importantly, even if it shows the name, you can only see it in those two pop-up notifications (after the previous waypoint and shortly before the actual one)…
