      Hi all,

maybe I don’t get it, but how is it possible I use the new Stopwatch app from the Store without starting an exercise?

The Timer widget has a stopwatch functionality, which is very basic (just start/stop/reset, no laptimes, screen goes off during running time-measureing, etc.) and I was hoping, the new Stopwatch would give me some enhancements. But it seems, it is only available as part of an exercise, that get’s saved afterwards and all (sometimes I just want to measure some timeslots and it’s not related in any way to an exercise).

Also the new “Daily Tasks” app? How does this make any sense as part of an exercise?

Shouldn’t there be a widget for these kind of apps, that can be pinned? Or am I overlooking something obvious?

      Thanks Frank

@Frank-Scholer Those daily tasks don’t make sense. I already reported it in the suunto app, that it’s useless, it should be like a widget or a notepad, where I can write down whatever I want as a reminder

The S+ stopwatch is there to have a stop watch during exercise. The standard one is available only in time mode.
            Sime as this.

Daily tasks goes somehow along with the new activity mode “chores”. So you can start this activity together with your todo list.
            No obligation to use it.

Doesn’t seem like a good use of engineering time. Obviously I can’t see the metrics of what people are asking for so I could be wrong, but it’s… weird.

@Ze-Stuart it is very common to apply one’s own priorities to be valid for everyone. What might look weird to you will not be so for others.

Plus afaik the stopwatch during activity has been asked for quite a lot. Which is the topic of this thread.

@Ze-Stuart Maybe it was some kind of programming contest for new Suunto devleopers 😉
But maybe it will be usefull on very long bike rides, ulras for things not to forget like eat, drink, repeat

@Egika yep, that’s why I pointed out that I can’t see the metrics of what’s being asked for, and said I could be wrong. Doesn’t change that I think it’s weird and I can’t imagine a use case, but can imagine better resources of time, within my paradigm.
