it is interesting how many users ask for 2 way sync of activities. Maybe I’m an ignorant but I don’t see the use case for it? Everything is on hand with SA in our pockets, isn’t it?
Or does the summary on the watch give statistics that SA doesn’t?

@freeheeler well I would really like to have everything also in the watch. I mean it’s the same ecosystem and if for example I record a basket ball training with my Polar OH1 which can record the activity without wearing a watch (because Suunto’s hr belt can’t do that with the app) and then again sync it from Polar to Suunto, my S7 is totally left out of the training load -> the body resources, consumption, recovery time, all are wrong in the watch. If Polar can sync everything to the watch, I don’t understand why Suunto can’t.

Yes it can, you can pair with the app the Suunto Smartsensor.

This is exactly why i wish it could be possible. It now does not calculate activities in resourses and recovery that i did record with the app.

For me, the sync-to-watch will be great only if it recalculate the metrics: recovery, VO2Max, count on S5 adaptative training…
I don’t know if the firstbeat magic blackbox admits that option

@freeheeler for me is also unnecessary, but if users want it maybe Suunto will listen at some point.

@brad_olwin yes but the memory function of the sensor doesn’t work with Suunto app.

HI, Was wondering if there was any new info on this topic. Use case for me is quite simple. I sometimes forget my watch… and am happy that the Suunto app can record activities. But I can’t seem to get them over to the watch to be part of that data store.

                        Thanks

                        Tony
