I think it works better every day. Each day i see greater range of resources.

@Tomas5 for me it is exactly the same. After using the watch for more than 2 weeks. This is how it looks today. I commute to work with my ebike 20k and I walk the dog on my lunch break 30-40 minutes and the resources goes down to 91 at the most during the day. …IMG_0445.PNG

For me first day was 90-98%
            Second day was 80-97%
            Today it was 68-96%
So i see pattern where each day i use bigger range. Hope it will continue that way.

What Suunto has to change compared to Garmin’s Body Battery is the increase during recovery. The Body Battery during the day decreases; it’s just a matter of how fast. Only during naps it increases again. I mean, it’s logical, the more you are awake, the fewer resources you have. On the Suunto watch, you sit for like 15 minutes, and the resources start to increase again.

So after few more days i must say that resources stays usually as high as 80% during day. Compared to older S5 where i almost every day run out of resources or got to 20% is really diffrent. But not sure if this is bug, because with S5 even during workday when i was in office i usually used lot of resources. But now with Race 2, today i was on hike (10km, 450m ascend/descend) and i am now on 40% which reflects reality much more. I am able to do 40% more of hike but yes i am tired. So maybe it is not wrong now that during work day in office i use only around 20% of resources but during average hike i used 60%. Seem fair.

@Tomas5 I just wanted to post my resources that I reached today 56%, and then I see your post 🙂 But yes, it seems right now the resources only decrease when walking or doing some other exercise. Compared to Garmin Bodybattery, this is not good. Like I wrote in my earlier post, the body battery should throughout the day decreases. Suunto has to change this. But it seems we can discuss here for years; the resources have been and are Suunto‘s problem child.

@jannis i have this watch only week. But i wasn’t satisfied with S5 resources running too low even when i didn’t do any hard excercise. I prefer behavior of Race2 but i need longer time to observe this watch resources behavior.

@Tomas5 mine hardly depletes. What have you set your rhr too, and how does that compare to min hr during sleep values?

@KingK0ng i set my rest HR to 65. My night min HR is usually around 48-51. I set rest HR based on my HR when i sit calm without movement for some time. And i adjusted it little bit. It took me longer time to figure it out with Suunto 5 so it doesn’t shown always that i am in stress even when i was just sitting at office. Now with Race 2 i just copied same walue from Suunto 5.

And Max HR i set based on 220-age. It is not correct but good enough estimate.
