Tedious double tap to manual lap on track
-
You have to press the watch twice to manually mark a lap or pause. The first press (or wrist movement) wakes up the watch. The second press marks the start of the next lap.
The problem is that when you’re doing short intervals on the track, for example, it’s tedious to have to press twice when you cross the line or to have to anticipate by moving your wrist first.
I tried setting the watch to always-on display mode, but that didn’t change anything.
Do you know if this is the case for all Suunto models or just the Run watches? Also, do you know of any tricks to get around this problem? Thanks in advance.

Knowing that, I simply raise the arm and then press the lap button. Works for me.

@quentinho Nope, this experience is foreign to me. My watch never sleeps during a workout. So on my 9PP it’s enough to single-tap for a lap or pause.
