      Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Suunto Vertical (firmware 2.44.52) since October 17 2025, paired with an iPhone 14 Plus (iOS 18.6.2), and I keep experiencing a recurring display freeze issue.

The screen suddenly stops updating (time and widgets don’t refresh), while the watch continues to record HR, sleep and other data in the background.
It happens most often right after receiving a notification, but also occurred at night when Do Not Disturb was active.

The only temporary fix is doing a soft reset (holding the upper button for 12–15 seconds) and then leaving the watch untouched for 10–15 minutes — after that, the display starts working again.
I’ve already done several factory resets, but the problem always returns, so I’d like to avoid resetting again.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?
If yes, did Suunto Support confirm whether this is a known firmware bug or is there any other workaround that helped you?

Thanks in advance for any insight or feedback!

indeed, mine as well it freezes at times when it suddently resumes from energy saving mode to normal and it gets all the notifications at once. the screen shows 80% of the top as blank and the 20% of the bottom with “part of the message” and it feels as if there is something overlaying it because even the characters as partly shown. it’s defintiely coming from the firmware

@sartoric When I press the button it changes the screen - eg. I go timer, it counts down but the digits are not changing. I turn back to the main screen and seconds are not changing - it stays the same.
I haven’t tried another watch face - do you think it could help?

@Egika It´s updated to 2.44.52. If I’m right there is not any newer update.
Anyway I’ve opened the claim and sent them to the seller. It cannot freeze 3-4 times per day.
