Alarm Clock 'will go off in ten minutes', which is after the alarm was due to go off.

Hi everyone,

I have an alarm set for 06:15 and this morning, at 06:15, I received a (small) vibration that notified saying the alarm would go off in 10 minutes, which is 10 minutes after it was due to. I was already awake, so can confirm this was not due to me snoozing the alarm. The follow-up alarm did go off, and the secondary alarm at 06:45 also went off normally.

Tricky one, because I rely on this alarm in the morning normally so need to be able to trust it!

Any ideas?

@Chris-Offler I had this some months ago. Alarm at 6 am, goes off normally, the day after at 6:10 (no previous warning on my S9PP), day after at 6:20. It’s been working correctly for some time and I don’t know what changed, however it had been reported so you can find something in this forum.

@Chris-Offler I’ve also had this happen. My guess is that it’s due to the fact that the touch screen becomes active when an alarm goes off. The “Snooze” and “Dismiss” options are therefore active and sensitive to touch. If the watch detects any input across the screen, you could accidentally dismiss or snooze an alarm before you know it (the vibration and sound are delayed ever so slightly from the touch screen activating).

Just a guess, but it explains why I usually experience this in bed when I may not be aware that something is touching the watch face. I mentioned this some time back and suggested that alarms should only be controlled by button pushes.

@duffman19 yes this is a bit problematic, the fact that screen become active and we can’t disable touch make alarm less reliable.
I wake up quite easily and one vibration or 2 is enough but it already happen 2 time that I disable the alarm with the screen touch without wanted to. My arm just touch the screen and alarm is gone
A global touch disable except on map would be my dream option, or at least an option to disable touch globally with a shortcut like the button lock
