      Hi, Suunto users …
      Can Suunto navigate along a previously traveled route?
      Similar to Garmin’s Track Back feature.
      Vertical 2 can only navigate to the destination as the crow flies—which is useless for me—or it can leave the previously traveled route on the map, but there are no alerts when you leave the route and no countdown to the destination.
      Unfortunately, I don’t see a real Track Back feature, Am I wrong?

        @UjcoCZ If you start backwards along the route you traveled the watch will automatically reverse the route.

          @UjcoCZ You are not wrong. The “Find back” feature in the navigation menu will only point you in the direction of where the activity began by showing a bearing and distance on the compass and as a waypoint on the map. Your trace will remain on the map, as you pointed out, but without any “off track” alerts.

          What @Brad_Olwin is referencing is only applicable if you are following a loaded GPX route. All routes will auto-reverse themselves if you begin traveling in the opposite direction (after about 100 meters or so). In this case you will get “off track” alerts as you would when following the route forward.

          However, Suunto’s auto-reverse feature is notoriously glitchy as has been discussed on this forum (here and others). This is especially true if your route is an out-and-back or includes any crossover sections or intersections. I wouldn’t trust it completely, but rather simply use the map page to retrace your route.

            Tested today, thanks for the advice to both of you, it works well on routes without crossings. Great.👍

                @UjcoCZ I think the app does allow it though right? So some combo of watch and app. Not 100% sure but if that’s the case it’s actually better at least imo than what garmin offers. If I’m out in the woods in unchartered terrain using my offline map I prefer the bigger map. Maybe someone can clarify how those 2 work together app and watch

                  @Egika Indeed, good news!

                  I wonder if this has been addressed? Unfortunately, I won’t be able to test as I do not have a newer device.
