Q4 2025 Firmware Update Infos?
-
Hopefully one day the weather forecast will show wind speed in km/h instead of m/s.
-
@safari
i would be happy to have it from the right city or area -
I hope that someday the weather forecast will show wind speed in kilometers per hour instead of meters per second.
-
@vinc14 you have to let the Suunto App be able to read your location, always. Does not need to be you exact location, if Samsung has the option to just share your general location. Then the weather forecast will be from your area…
-
@2b2bff Erm no not always, mine just shows England and has full permissions. It used to show the area and sometimes does but normally just says England.
The forcast however does seem to be for my little corner of England.

@2b2bff
sometimes it shows the city on the other side of the Jura Mountain Range (60Km away)
They have mostly sunny weather, where the middland have some cloud/fog at 900m. The Picture imagine my City is below ;-(

I think the problem is that it gets its data from https://openweathermap.org. The information there is neither consistent nor flexible. The wind unit doesn’t change; it gives m/s. But, for example, freemeteo.com is different; it gives km/s. This OpenWeathermap.org is insufficient for the Suunto.

Maybe would be enough, it just a little bit of maths to change m/s in Km/h.
it’s just 5m/s = 5/1000 * 3600 = 18Km/h
i thinks the math should be correct. -
@vinc14
I don’t think that’s the solution. I need to see the status instantly when I look at the clock screen. If I’m going to deal with the account, I can check it on my phone anyway.

Instead, I’m just carrying this around

@safari
sorry, not you have to do the maths, but Suunto should give the option
m/s OR km/h (this option could be set one the phone)
and then it is just Math
