About tank pressure transmitter models

Two tank pressure transmitter models are available from Suunto:
- Suunto Tank POD
- Suunto Wireless Tank Pressure Transmitter
According to the product sheets, only the Suunto Tank POD is compatible with the Nautic.
Besides the fact that you’ll need to be careful, if buying second-hand, to make sure you are getting a Suunto Tank POD, does anyone know why only one transmitter model is compatible? Is it related to the 123 kHz band?
