Media control during exercise

Media controls via touch screen don’t seem to work during exercise but when I use the media control widget while I’m not exercising, it works. Is this normal behaviour? I couldn’t find anything on this topic.

@Ries22 No touchscreen during activity and no option to enable it (no custom battery mode anymore in Suunto watches).

@maszop, thanks for the response. Would be nice to have the option to enable touch screen capability for media control.
