      Hi everybody!!

I bought this watch for freediving and scuba diving. But I do many spots, in wing, kite and sailing the measurements like heart rate or ascension are not important then it works ok.

Buuuuut in Backcountry skiing, the measurements said that I can do a olimpic race, and obviously I’m not as good. The big problem is: when you stop to take a rest the meters of ascension continue counting. Also the heart rate is so bad.

I put some some pictures. 1800m ascension, for me is completely impossible… Heart rate in the first level the 96% of the time jajajajjaja.

I can put more activities of Backcountry skiing in the same way.

Well, another problem with this watch… Still waiting for the freediving improvements…

@Angusmil any activity where you are moving/tensing/flexing the arm is going to be an issue for OHR. Get a chest strap if it’s important. Just like cycling or weightlifting.

@Angusmil Your barometric sensor may be dirty. I have no issues with the sensor unless there are very, very strong winds.

Hi, thanks for the advice. I tried cleaning the watch, but yesterday the same thing happened with the barometer. When I reached the top of the mountain, it showed that I had descended 400 meters — completely wrong.

Do you know exactly where the sensor is located and how to clean it properly? Otherwise, I’ll contact customer support, since it’s less than two years old.

Regarding heart rate, apart from cycling and e-sports, what are all the heart-rate-based apps and features supposed to be for if the watch itself doesn’t work properly? How can I do a proper running workout if I can’t rely on the heart rate data? Many times I’m pushing hard uphill and it shows 130 bpm — and I’m definitely not that fit.

Maybe my sensors are damaged… I’ve tried doing a soft reset, but it’s still the same.

It is probably worth contacting support (open a ticket). This version of the OHR module has never worked well for me and the watch is quite heavy. OHR is fine for walking/sitting/sleeping for me but not exercising. If you care about HR I would purchase a chest strap. I rarely use OHR even though on the Vertical2/Race2 it is far better and works for many exercises for me.
