Thank you @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos and @Jouko-from-Suunto and @Matt_from_Suunto!!! My sync to Training Peaks works flawlessly. All of my power data from Stryd transfers perfectly as well as all other data. Congratulations on working on this for however long it has taken. I have now disconnected myself from MC but will be completely satisfied when planned moves are available in SA. Happy SA user here and kudos to you as well as the development team on a job well done!

@Brad_Olwin I will not get tired of pointing out that you are a paying user of TP. TP functionality as a free app is severely limited.
Not minimising the achievement, it just feels of marginal value to most of us.
          Enjoy TP

Same feeling here (no intention to pay TP subscription as I bought a watch that at the time included a decent analysis platform -MC web-).

@Yannis-Belouris but suunto have already had robust training platform Movescount. And we have no insights why it was replaced by old less functional SportsTracker

I have to give praises to SA dev team, in the recent beta versions I have really positive experience with SA and S9. I have tracking, routes and sport modes customization. I think the app goes in the right directions, a bit slow, but I hope that it will only be better in the future. Right now I find that it covers all my basic needs. I ditched the MC completely.

                      What I am missing still:

                      • 24/7 Hearth rate tracking, graphs, etc

                      • some kind of SA web interface with exercise analytics, also with an ability to plan routes, exercises, etc

                      • A bit better route planing - if I want to change points that I placed in the beginning of the route, I cannot edit them. Editing routes should be added (maybe it exists but I haven’t found it)

                      • ability to change watch settings through app

                      • VO2Max (my wife’s SF3 has it, just port it to S9) and more similar statistics that will show user progress through exercise

                      • User weight in SA, with graph or goals… I know S9 is not a fitness watch, but this would be nice addition

                      • Watch is collecting a lot of data, use it to improve user experience

Tried out TP and Strava integrations… For free users they are almost useless, just a exercise viewer… I can see almost all the same data in the SA itself. I don’t plan to pay either TP or Strava…

At the end, nice progress in the development, hope to see great stuff in future. As time passes I’m more and more satisfied with watch and app, when I bought it in September 2018 it was chaotic, but things are getting better.

I am happy to debate this…As you hopefully are well aware, I am an avid MC web user. I posted training plans very early on for ultras that are on the first or second page of training plans due to their popularity. I have 17 pages of routes and over 4000 moves uploaded. So I feel I can speak from experience using the site. I have used Training Peaks before MC web was introduced and am very familiar with TP as well. So here goes:

                          1. MC is great for storing and summarizing moves, also for comparisons, I like it a lot for that.
                          2. Training plans, planned moves, etc. are cumbersome and difficult in MC, there is no good way to specify workout intensities and no way to build structured workouts. Long term stress analysis is nonexsitent.
                          3. TP is superior to MC for stress analysis, for training and for training plans. It is also superior for self-coaching, which I did for a long time. I have used TP with and without a premium membership. I find both more valuable for planning training than MC Web. I always transferred my training from TP to MC web.
                          4. Really…$10 US per month is two cups of fancy coffee. Anybody that can afford a premium Suunto watch can afford to spend a small amount of money for the service that provides far more than MC ever did or could.
                          5. Since Suunto is putting the effort into designing TP Plans it seems obvious that the API for SA will be developed to allow download of planned exercises. I also would not be surprised if this is one way to implement structured workouts.

So yes, I am enthusiastic as TP is one of the best if not the best place to plan training for athletes. Are all of you complaining because of principle? I don’t think that MC would have ever been developed to provide what TP offers.

Finally, there are other great programs out there to track stress better than MC (IMHO). Fairly easy to use those now. I expect that SA will achieve similar viewing functionality on par with MC and feature-wise will be similar but I am happy to see Suunto support third parties in a deeper relationship than before. It should be better for all of us.

And I won’t tire of the debate either…Suunto does not have the resources to develop the best Training/Planning/Storage web site. That ought to be obvious. Why not pair the best hardware with the best cloudware???

Totally agree. I’m not happy paying TP, but I will pay if I can plan my hole season, complex workouts, analyze my results, configure my zones,…

Actually, I prefer to have this solution, although it is by paid TP (or any other like finalsurge) than not having them.

Let’s see what happens with next releases.

I am returning to Suunto after two years using an iWatch Series 2. I had an Ambit 2 beforehand. I have kept logging all my moves on Movescount though via RunGap. I like the Suunto App - it is what you would expect a Premium watch should come with, however there are features missing, I would expect to be able to configure the settings such as GPS via the app rather than the watch and also be able to change as many options that were available via Movescount web. What I really miss from Movescount though is the summary of the last 30 days - I know there are graphs, but knowing that I had done ‘x’ hours in 30 days worked for me…also I am really confused on two things - can I still sync to Movescount web once I have used the SA to configure the watch (I planned a route using SA)? A notification in the SA seems to imply that I can’t. If this is the case then how do I upload a route using a gpx file or other format via SA, if this even possible? That’s the second thing I’m confused on… I am on iOS and have tried to download a gpx and then share it as I read on another thread that you could do that, but not had any luck. If this is not an option then gpx upload is a MUST for SA development

There are 2 SA features that broke MC sync (suuntolink or MC mobile app):

                                      1. Sports mode customization
                                      2. Route planning

If you use any of them, you will need to factory reset watch to connect again with MC

… All of my power data from Stryd transfers perfectly as well as all other data. Congratulations on working on this for however long it has taken. …

I am wondering, is this just for power and cadence or also for the advanced metrics like LSS? This would be my reason to switch, because with MC this is not possible.

No, just power and cadence! Upvoted your metrics suggestion.

@Matt_from_Suunto Well, my felling about Suunto App is good, every implemented feature is working fine. The connectivity between the watch and the phone is also good, rarely is necessary to use the function to forge the Bluetooth device to connect again, which for me its totally acceptable.
Therefore, I believe you guys has a lot of job to do about the features, for instances the route planning needs to be improved, we should have a field to search source and destination, exporting gpx files.
When I talk about route planning it means safety and that’s why I believe it’s very important, sometimes I’m in the middle of nothing just following a trail and it has to be reliable.
Talking about safety, there is a feature in Garmin which my colleagues always talk about which calls the safety contact if you have some kind of abrupt interruption in the trail, so if you riding a trail and drops during you riding and get unconscious, the devices calls you safety contact, it’s very nice.
Besides that, when I installed the app I choose Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese) but I wanted to change for english and it’s not possible to change the language, I believe you should be able to change it.
Also, remember to look at the market, we have a lot of watches with very good solution about “smart watch”, I know its not the focus but it’s the cake cherry and should be implemented some feature like weather forecast, being able to answer yes or no in a message, well, the basic smart watch features.
Well, you guys are doing well and you have a very big challenge to bring all suggestion to home and persuade the “rough” development guys to implement every single suggestion all the customers judge important and also keep competitive in the market.

                                            Good luck!!!
