Race titanium with Wahoo TRACKR HR
-
I have the Tickr and have no issues at all. Works just fine.
-
@OutdoorMan How often do you have to charge? Do you use ZoneSense in combination with the chest strap?
-
@larrybbaker I ask for the new model
-
@laufbursche7 I cannot remember when I have changed the battery last time, it lasts like forever. And yes, I am using ZoneSense with it. If I don’t want to use ZoneSense, then I just put the Coros HRM on. I once compared these two and results were almost identical.
-
@OutdoorMan Thanks for your feedback. And can you tell the difference between the COROS Heart Rate Monitor Armstrap and wahoo trackr?
-
@elbee I agree with you on almost every point—especially the importance of being comfortable to wear.
There are subtle differences even among HR chest straps; Wahoo is among the best when it comes to this.
-
Please look at the horizontal scale. It’s not from 0 to 100. It’s from perfect usable to perfect usable.

So, in reality there is zero difference. Only for some youtube influencer to make movies about (without questioning the relevance)
-
@elbee
The correlation is weak, but it is there.
It is not just some YouTube influencer, but a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Center for Molecular Medicine (CeMM)
He is a data-scientist who analyses immunological data for work, and data about hisself and different wearables as a hobby. -

He is a data-scientist who analyses immunological data for work, and data about hisself and different wearables as a hobby.Sure he is a postdoctoral researcher. But research center for molecular medicine doesn’t sound relevant for measuring correlation in heart rate monitors.
I’m just saying, there isn’t better than good enough but if someone thinks it makes a difference and wants the top item in the graph, by all means, buy the wahoo.

EDIT : what I wrote here is all wrong, TheQuantifiedScientist did it correctly
And, while I love TheQuantifiedScientist, his reference is the Polar H10, which is indeed an excellent chest strap, but i’m not sure why its consedered a reference compared to other chest straps either, so the correlation is to H10, not to “absolute truth” -
@Elipsus said in Race titanium with Wahoo TRACKR HR:
Polar H10,
Because he compared it to a clinical ECG device and accuracy was 99.6%
-
@OutdoorMan my bad, I didn’t watch the specific video and incorrectly thought he kept the same reference, I will update my post
-
@Elipsus no worries, I just shared the “why” : )
