I love some little features that the Run 1 has over the Race S: Flipping the screen (so the buttons could sit one the left side) and HR-measurements only in 10-minute-intervals! Maybe the Run 2 and Race S 2 differ in the same way…

@OutdoorMan guessing here but I think run series and race/ vertical series address two different users.

Run for folks who just want to grab the watch and go running , basic stuff built in. Kinda Apple Watch style …limited customization etc

Vertical/ race for folks needing more customization and better battery life etc.

Makes sense to me. I don’t think they will drop the one or the other . Im sure there is a reason behind it if its the one I mentioned who knows but I trust their market strategists more than random people on the internet. The way they went when introducing the race / vertical series and also run put them back on the map after all.

Seems like those comparison charts need some work though. Tried it against the 9PP, my actual one and the Race 2. and there is a whole lot missing in those charts of the Run2.

Compared it to the Race S. Same price, same display size. RaceS has more storage, Run has Music and Running dynamics, Run is lighter
Strange that Suunto has so many similar models currently. Apart from Vertical (and Ocean of course if you count it) the differences are minimal

@VoiGAS Run has less sport modes, it has a resume later function ;), is it more plastic, the maps are limited, but it has the super new OHR.

Differences are there - if you want to decide between the two, the forum is glad to help you based on your usage profile.

@Egika Usage profile in my case clearly would say for me a Run2 would be enough, and for the 9PP I already own a battery replacement would be the better choice, but there is also this Race2, which is so shiny…and those rumours about a possible Race3, oh my, what to do, what to do…

If specs are OK, Run 2 is a bit bigger than the Race S. That’s a surprise considering it’s very low weight

Guess we have to consider here, the weights of the older watches are with strap, and here we have the weight only of the watch without strap. My 9PP weighs 46,1g without strap, website states 64g, so with strap. Guess the weight difference is not sooo big.

@Tieutieu Yes, left is weight of the watch, without strap, weigh of the other watch, in your case the Race S on the right, is with strap. So it’s merely 7g lighter than the Race S.

What storage size are people picking? I’m wondering if it’s worth going for the 64gb even if I won’t have music on it. My guess is that it isn’t?
