Android 6.13.8 causing some sync loop (not pair loop) on Ambit 3 Peak

There were problems with a pairing loop in 6.13.6. It could temporarily be solved by downgrading (sideloading) to 6.7.12, this bug was fixed in 6.13.7.
Yesterday I updated to 6.13.8, and then the watch could still pair, but instead there was some strange sync loop - where the watch would say it is syncing, optimizing GPS performance, and then saying it successfully is connected. But it never starts syncing the activities, and after a few seconds the whole syncing procedure restarts again, going on indefinitely.
I once again downgraded to 6.7.12 and now everything works fine again.

@GiPFELKiND Download from apk mirror, then use ADB (you need to uninstall the higher version first).
For now I have disabled automatic update as there seems its a new bug in the new version.
