I am having an issue and hoping to obtain some insight.

My 9 Peak Pro stops recording heart rate once a week during sleep. The watch stays on and functions normally except the discontinued heart rate tracking. I notice it when opening the app to realize heart rate tracking stopped the night before.

I have followed/completed all of the troubleshooting steps (i.e. soft/hard resets etc.).

I actually have had two of these watches and both exhibit the same behavior after the most recent update. Has something changed or am I missing something?

I have been able to link the issue specifically to the update as neither were having issues before this time.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

@homac, hi, my 9PP was always affected by this issue, no matter which firmware was running: usually, the HR optical sensor stopped once/twice a month.

Do you have blood oxygen measurement enabled? I disabled this function two months ago and, from that moment on, the HR measurement is always on point. Give it a try!🤞

Yes. I do have blood oxygen enabled. I have always had it enabled, perhaps that is the cause.

That said, I like to know that statistic so disabling it not a great option.

Is this only a Suunto 9 Peak Pro issue, or do their other watches suffer from this too?

@homac what insight does blood oxygen measurement give you?
In my opinion, it is just as useless as step count.
Maybe with the exception of people going to high altitudes.
