Suunto Race 3S not connecting to Suunto Plus Editor Extension

I’ve created a Suunto Plus App using the Suunto Plus Editor extension for Visual Studio Code. It is very basic: it just gives a 5K finish time estimate (for my use at parkrun). The app simulates well in the Editor using a real Suunto FIT file, but I cannot deploy to watch as the Editor is not recognizing the Race 3S connected to USB. I’ve tried connecting via Bluetooth and while the iMac says that the Race 3S is connected again it is not appearing in the Editor extension. I am little technical knowledge, would anyone have any advice?
